Fri-Jado, based in Oud-Gastel, manufactures equipment used by poultry shops for grilling chickens. The company also produces complementary merchandise for keeping food warm. Improving the matching of order information was a priority, and to achieve this, Fri-Jado turned to Tradecloud. Tactical Buyer Erik Pasman: “This ordering platform aligns with our ambitions.”
Matching Information for Supply Chain Processes
The deliciously scented grills in front of a poultry shop are hard to miss. They often take a prominent position, making them an eye-catcher. Sales of rotisseries are strong, as are sales of deli and convenience displays that allow gas stations and stores to present both hot and cold products. As the company grew, so did the volume of information, and Fri-Jado is now looking to professionalize its approach to handling this data.
Erik Pasman: “Within our logistics chain, matching information as effectively as possible is a challenge.” Pasman refers to two key aspects: first, responding quickly to customer demand with product deliveries. “At the same time, we also have suppliers who rely on information as input for our processes. What we see happening now is that we are a delaying factor in the middle of this chain.”

Adapting to Change
Fri-Jado was eager to eliminate these information delays within its own supply chain. “The goal is to respond more effectively to customer demand.” Additionally, Fri-Jado faced the challenge of an increasingly unpredictable supply chain and fluctuations in supply and demand. “To manage these changes as effectively as possible, we need to ensure that order information is available as quickly as possible.”
‘Exceptions Presented in a User-Friendly Way’
Tradecloud plays a key role in making order information available faster. “This is a user-friendly platform that focuses only on process exceptions. When all orders are correct and match the confirmations, we don’t need to monitor them. It’s easy to track how information has been processed, and exceptions are presented in a user-friendly way. That allows us to respond quickly.”
“With Tradecloud, you gain quick access to information and can digitalize your supply chain.”
Seventy Percent of Orders Automated
Fri-Jado has now automated seventy percent of its order processing. “Of this, sixty percent is processed without any intervention from our buyers. The system handles these orders directly, simply because the information is accurate.” The company is also working to process the remaining forty percent as efficiently as possible. According to Pasman, this is made possible by Tradecloud’s structured presentation of information.
Significant Effort in Connecting and Testing Suppliers
The majority of suppliers have now switched to using Tradecloud. The implementation process has been highly positive, says the tactical buyer. “We outsourced the rollout to the implementation partner of our ERP system, who collaborated with Tradecloud. Our main focus was on testing the process.” The emphasis was on verifying the results from the connection between the ERP and Tradecloud. Several scenarios were tested before shifting focus to informing and onboarding suppliers. “First, we informed them via email, then scheduled individual meetings. Depending on the complexity of their ordering system, we either provided a Teams presentation or visited them in person to demonstrate the platform.”
‘Digitalizing the Supply Chain’
The approach to suppliers proved effective. In many cases, they were fully integrated into the Tradecloud platform within a week of receiving instructions. There is also strong satisfaction with the platform itself.
